Here are two photos from a recent visit I made to the rural roads of McConnells, SC. Jake and I have been trying to make a habit of exploring and photographing the fringes of greater Rock Hill.
Yeah, like the ones in Dorchester Park. As far as I know, it was just a hollowed out building. Maybe for farm equipment storage or something?
I talked to a woman who lived next door, and the produce stand actually isn't active anymore, but it used to be ran on the "honors system". They had a drop box for money and people would just take what they needed and put money in the box. She said that it actually worked really well. I guess that's why there is that security camera attached to it.
I love that building in McConnells. I spent some time photographing it when I was in undergrad at Winthrop. Check out the graveyard at the Presbyterian church just a little further up that road (away from Rock Hill).
you should put this panoramic into the auction dude. guarantee it'd sell
ReplyDeleteWas that some type of fort? It reminds me a little of the old forts off Dorchester. Was anyone working that produce stand?
